Steelers Injury Report: Pittsburgh enters Week 5 with almost a clean bill of health

The Pittsburgh Steelers and Jacksonville Jaguars are going head-to-head, and it’s time to take a final look at the injury report.

NFL: Cleveland Browns at Pittsburgh Steelers Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY Sports

The Pittsburgh Steelers could be making news before their Week-5 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday at Heinz Field. That news would be having all 22 starters on the field for the first time this season.

But it doesn’t look like that will happen, as Marcus Gilbert is listed as “Doubtful” on the final injury report leading up to the game. The good news is that any other player who had made the injury report for one reason or another during the week has now been taken off the list, leaving Gilbert as the lone injury prior to game day. If Gilbert is ruled out for the game, Chris Hubbard will make his third consecutive start at right tackle for the Steelers.

Close...so close.

As for the Jaguars, their injury report is a little bit longer than the Steelers’, but fans should remember this is the game-day injury report. Unless a player is listed as “Out,” there’s still a chance they’ll play, and fans won’t know for sure until the inactive list is released just before kickoff on Sunday.
