Steelers Injury Report: Good news for Pittsburgh as they prepare for Sunday Night Football

The Pittsburgh Steelers have ruled out three players, but received plenty of good news from players who were on the fence this week.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are just days away from their Week 14 Sunday Night Football game against the Baltimore Ravens, and the team put some final touches on their injury report heading into the big AFC North battle at Heinz Field.

While there was growing concern over Antonio Brown’s toe, and T.J. Watt’s knee, with both of them being added to the injury report after Thursday’s practice, both practiced fully Friday and are not on the final game-day report. In other words, they will both be in the lineup and playing this Sunday.

The same can be said for Vance McDonald, who had been nursing an ankle injury the past few weeks, as he too was left off the list. The only player who might give fans some pause regarding his status is Mike Mitchell. Mitchell missed Week 13 with his own ankle injury and, although he practiced every day this week, he’s listed as questionable. The good news here is Mitchell told reporters after practice on Friday he’s planning on playing. But it very well could be a game-time decision.

Other than the aforementioned players, the team ruled out Tyler Matakevich (shoulder), Joe Haden (fibula) and, of course, Ryan Shazier (back).

Check out the full injury report for both teams, and be sure to stay tuned to BTSC for the latest on the injury updates on all fronts leading up to kickoff.
