The Pittsburgh Steelers had a long list of players who fell under the label of “Exclusive Rights Free Agents” (ERFA) this offseason. The team has the chance to give them a contract, and continue to hold the rights to that particular player.
The team has been active signing players like this throughout the offseason, and outside linebacker Anthony Chickillo is the latest to receive a new one-year contract, per Ian Rapoport.

Chickillo, who has been a pleasant surprise since being drafted as a college defensive tackle and being converted to an outside linebacker, was a solid contributor on special teams, and in the rare appearance on the defensive side of the football.
The signing means there are only a handful of other players who are still listed as ERFA for the team. Some notable names on that list would be running back Fitzgerald Toussaint, B.J. Finney and Alejandro Villanueva.
Stay tuned to BTSC for the latest on the team’s free agency activity throughout the offseason.
