As I was mourning the departure of the “Law Dog,” I looked onto my twitter account only to find out that free agent LB, Dont’a Hightower will be visiting the Steelers, according to ESPN Insider Adam Schefter.
After visiting the NY Jets, Patriots free-agent LB Dont'a Hightower is scheduled to visit the Steelers, per source.

It may seem like eons ago, but in 2012, before draft day, it very much looked as if the Steelers would draft the LB from Alabama. Then, the most impossible thing happened, the best guard in the draft fell to the 24th pick and the Steelers could not pass up that kind of value, along with the need at the position.
The Patriots from what I remember try to keep him out of coverage situations but he proved to be an absolute force against the run, while also being one of the better blitzing LBs in the league.
He’d no doubt be able to bring that skill set to the table but possibly some insider information on the Patriots defense. That last part in particular would be an added bonus.
If anything he probably ends up going back to the Patriots but we’ll see. Pittsburgh is being aggressive so far in free agency but don’t have a lot to show for it right now. Maybe Hightower is the one.
