The Pittsburgh Steelers rewarded cornerback Mike Hilton for his tremendous season by signing him to a one-year contract, keeping him in Pittsburgh for at least the 2018-2019 season.
In other Steelers news, they just announced the signing of CB Mike Hilton to a 1-year contract. Signed to futures contracts are DE Lavon Hooks, LB Keith Kelsey, WR Justin Thomas and WR Marcus Tucker

Hilton was one of the best stories in a season full of drama, turning a reserve/future contract into a regular spot on the team’s defense. Hilton wasn’t the only player who received a new contract, with four players signed to future/reserve contracts of their own.
Here are the players who received new contracts:
CB Mike Hilton — One-year deal
DE Lavon Hooks — Future/Reserve deal
LB Keith Kelsey — Future/Reserve deal
WR Justin Thomas — Future/Reserve deal
WR Marcus Tucker — Future/Reserve deal
Obviously, the biggest news here is the deal for Hilton. Not only did the young cornerback fill the roll of slot cornerback, he turned into one of the team’s best blitzers, and even won AFC Defensive Player of the Week for his three sack performance against the Houston Texans in Week 16.
With Hilton back in the fold, it helps solidify the team’s secondary. Artie Burns, Joe Haden, Mike Hilton and Cameron Sutton will all be back next season, with William Gay’s future with the team anything but certain.
