The Pittsburgh Steelers may well be riding a three game winning streak but it would appear that is not quite enough to convince the bookmakers they will be leaving Baltimore with a win in Week 9. Even though the Ravens have lost three of their last four games, a period in which they gave the lowly Cleveland Browns only their third win in three years, Baltimore has been installed as 3-point favorites for their rematch with the Steelers.
When the two sides met in Week 4, a disappointing second half performance from Pittsburgh doomed them to defeat in a 26-14 loss. An all too familiar slow start put the Steelers in a 14-0 hole before they battled back to tie the game before halftime. However, they failed to move the ball after the break, with the longest drive of the half covering just 27-yards, leaving the Ravens to run out easy winners.
Both teams have moved in different directions since their first meeting and with Joe Flacco playing his worst game of the year in their latest loss, those looking to back Pittsburgh in this matchup may want to grab the points before the line tumbles. An initial totals position of 47.5 points looks to be a fairly reasonable starting point for this contest and it seems unlikely there will be any dramatic movement to this line in the coming days.
Prior to their last meeting, the Steelers had won their last three in a row against Baltimore, but are 1-4 in their last five games at M&T Bank Stadium. Pittsburgh is 4-2-1 on the season and 4-3 against the spread, while the Ravens are 4-4 for both.
