The Pittsburgh Steelers and Jacksonville Jaguars will go head-to-head in Week 11 in a rematch of their two 2017 contests which were tilted in Jacksonville’s favor at Heinz Field.
Different venue. Different team. Different year. Steelers fans are hoping for a different outcome of the Week 11 showdown.
After this game was flexed out of prime time, largely because of the Jaguars’ poor record heading into the game, the Steelers will be looking to put a huge dent into the Jaguars’ playoff hopes with a road win over their rivals from the AFC South.
While their records might seem as if this is an easy pick, there is something deep inside of me which knows this game will be far more difficult than most believe.
The Jaguars’ defense is still stout, and the red-hot Steelers’ offense will have to perform well to win the football game. Oh, and there is that pesky Leonard Fournette the Pittsburgh defense will have to stop to force the game into Blake Bortles’ hands.
This is the classic game where you literally throw out records, and prepare yourself or a brawl. Could this game be a blow out, similar to the shellacking the Steelers gave the Carolina Panthers in Week 10? Absolutely, but I wouldn’t put money on it.
I think the game will be close in the first half, with the Steelers pulling away in the second half. Some garbage time points for Jacksonville will make the final score closer than it was in reality.
My prediction:
Steelers - 31
Jaguars - 20
