The Pittsburgh Steelers are leaving the door open for James Conner to be able to play against the New England Patriots after he was listed as questionable on the team’s final injury report of the week. Able to take part in practice in a limited capacity on Friday, Conner will be a game time decision for the medical staff on Sunday.
While the status of Conner is in doubt, the same cannot be said for Marcus Gilbert and he has already officially been ruled out for the eighth week in a row with a knee injury he has been dealing with since the bye week. In something of a surprise. Ryan Switzer was a new addition to the injury report to end of the week with an ankle injury and he has been listed as questionable for Week 15.
Marcus Gilbert is out for Sunday.

James Conner (ankle) and Ryan Switzer (ankle) were both limited in practice on Friday and listed as questionable vs. the Pats.
If Conner is ultimately unable to play, Jaylen Samuels and Stevan Ridley would fill in for him, while Gilbert will be replaced in the starting lineup by Matt Feiler once again. Should Switzer be forced to sit out, there is a chance Eli Rogers could yet be activated from the PUP list to cover for him.
Despite concerns about the health of Ben Roethlisberger after he was sidelined by a rib injury in the second half of the game against the Oakland Raiders, it appears he will be good to go against New England having been a full participant in practice on Thursday and Friday.
Anthony Chickillo and Sean Davis are also expected to play having seemingly overcome the injuries that limited them on Wednesday. Both were able to train train fully during the last two days of practice.
