While there were no obvious incidents in the game that required medical attention, it would appear that the Pittsburgh Steelers did not escape completely injury free on Sunday. When speaking to reporters during his post-game press conference, Mike Tomlin highlighted a foot injury to Vince Williams as the latest injury concern the team will be monitoring this week.
“I think we had one injury in the game. Vince Williams with a foot, he’s being evaluated.”
Although it is unclear at what point Williams was hurt or when he was taken out of the game given his rotation with L.T. Fort and Jon Bostic on certain downs, it would seem he left the game early in the fourth quarter. Observed standing on the sidelines during the final period without his helmet on, there were no signs he was receiving treatment or was in obvious discomfort.
Williams would record 5 tackles on the day before picking up the foot injury, but would struggle in coverage against players like Michael Thomas and Alvin Kamara.

As more information becomes available about the extent of his injury, we will be sure to update this post. Should the injury be so severe he cannot play against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 17, he would be replaced in the starting lineup by Fort.
