The Pittsburgh Steelers’ 2018 regular season hasn’t gone as many would have liked/predicted, and while their postseason hopes are completely dead, it is a good time to talk about 2019 opponents and locations.
In case you didn’t know, the NFL schedule is developed the following way:
16 games made up of:
6 divisional games
1 AFC division (4 games)
1 NFC division (4 games)
Equal AFC ranked opponent in other divisions
In 2019, the Steelers, and the rest of the AFC North, are paired with the NFC West and the AFC East. The only other two opponents will be either the division winners, if the Steelers win the division and make the playoffs, or the second place team in the AFC South and AFC West.
So, the Steelers’ upcoming opponents isn’t completely solidified, but we know about 99% of who and where they will play.
Check out the 2019 opponents and location:
Home
- Seattle Seahawks
- AFC South*
- Baltimore Ravens
- Cincinnati Bengals
- Cleveland Browns
- Buffalo Bills
- Miami Dolphins
- Los Angeles Rams
Away
- AFC West*
- San Francisco 49ers
- New York Jets
- New England Patriots
- Cleveland Browns
- Cincinnati Bengals
- Baltimore Ravens
- Arizona Cardinals
The Steelers will play arguably the two weakest divisions, from top to bottom, in the NFL with teams like the Jets, Bills, 49ers, and Cardinals all on the upcoming schedule; however, the remaining possibilities for the schedule will be between the Indianapolis Colts or Tennessee Titans, and the Kansas City Chiefs or Los Angeles Chargers.
Stay tuned to hear the latest on the schedule opponents when the dust settles, and feel free to let us know what you think of next year’s slate of games in the comment section below.
