Even if Week 17 is the Pittsburgh Steelers last game of the 2018 season, they will still be hoping to finish it on a positive note against a Cincinnati Bengals team that has lost six of their last seven games. With both teams faltering, this matchup has lost some of its luster from a media perspective, especially with Vontaze Burfict also likely to miss the game, but fans should still expect some of the extracurricular activities the Bengals have become known for on Sunday with nothing to lose in the contest.

Although Cincinnati will be without Andy Dalton under center, it would be fair to suggest that Jeff Driskel is not really that much worse given he provides an additional dimension as a runner that Dalton lacks. In reality, the biggest loss for the Bengals this season has been wide receiver A.J. Green and considering his success against the Steelers in the past, Pittsburgh’s secondary should be grateful he is on injured reserve.

As 14.5-point favorites, the Steelers should run out easy winners, but given their struggles with teams they have been heavily favored against in recent years, it would not be a surprise if the contest was closer than it should be. That being said, if the Cleveland Browns cannot beat the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday, it will not really matter what happens between Pittsburgh and Cincinnati this time around.
