Once again the Steelers select an OLB that has some athletic traits. He can get after the passer and does a decent job disengaging and making the tackle. Like his hands and has good motor. He doesn't impress in coverage.
Hurst is older than many would like because he spent time trying to make it playing baseball( Pirates farm system) but got a bad case of the yips. So now he plays football and plays football with passion and heart. Has great hands and some ability to run after the catch. Needs to improve routes and technique in blocking but putting in the work won't be an issue. Has drawn comparisons to Dallas Clark
I know nothing about Fred Warner this is where the comment section comes in handy. Let me know people.
Kameron Kelly is projected here as a CB but he is better facing the QB. Has solid ball skills and range to play on the back end. So long Mike.
I can't say enough about Griffin he has the heart of a champ. Can line up and blitz and makes plays in the backfield as well in coverage. I double dipped at ILB and at OLB with this pick.
Jake Wieneke, small school guy that has played big against division one opponents. Uses size along with some athletic ability to go up and get the 50/50 balls. I love his hands and if he runs well at the combine and pro day he could shoot up out of this projected round.
There you go have at don't kill the messenger and sorry so late in doing this mechanic emergency for a friend. I still need a Trade Evaluator for our Live Mock Draft on April 13th -15th. Go Steelers.
BTW, I love the countdown Shamarknado
