Las Vegas has high expectations of the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2018

When it comes to the projected win totals for 2018, there isn’t anyone with higher expectations than the black-and-gold.

The saying goes, “Vegas knows all...”

And for someone who covers things like weekly spreads for the NFL, that saying is right way more than it is wrong.

Well, Vegas sport books have been churning out odds and spreads since the 2018 regular season was announced on Thursday, and the most recent venture were projected win totals for the upcoming season.

For the reigning AFC North Champion Pittsburgh Steelers, they were handed a 10.5 win projection, and there is not one NFL team who were ranked higher. Several were given the same projection, but none higher.

Check out the totals:

For those who are wondering who were also given the 10.5 win total, they were as follows:

Steelers
Eagles
Patriots
Vikings
Packers

All other teams were in the single-digit projection area. Who had the worst projection? Everyone would think the Browns, right? And you would be correct. The 0-16 2017 team could potentially be replaced with Vegas’ 4.5 projection for the 2018 unit. A step up, although nothing really worth writing home about.

Will the Steelers live up to the 10.5 projection? Or will they fall short after finishing 13-3 last season? Let us know in the comment section below, and be sure to stay tuned to BTSC for the latest news and notes surrounding the black-and-gold.
