The Pittsburgh Steelers are a global organization. Their fans are everywhere, and their fans aren’t just the every day folks who put their hard earned money in memorabilia and swag from the team.

Several celebrities are die hard followers of the black-and-gold.

One of those fans was none other than actor Verne Troyer. Most known for his role as Mini Me in the Austin Powers movies, when he wasn’t on the silver screen he was a regular at Steelers training camp and several games.

In fact, he even got to spend extra time with several players, none more than wide receiver Antonio Brown. When Troyer passed away Saturday, both Brown and former teammate James Harrison sent their condolences to Troyer and his family.

All of us here at BTSC send our own thoughts and prayer out to the Troyer family during this difficult time. SteelerNation lost a devout member this weekend, and for that we all hope Troyer is cheering on the Steelers from a better place this upcoming season.
