2018 NFL Betting Odds: Steelers are touchdown favorites vs. the Browns in Week 1

It is never too early for weekly NFL betting odds...

NFL: Cleveland Browns at Pittsburgh Steelers Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY Sports

The 2018 NFL regular season schedule was just released last Thursday, and while you continue to digest the latest edition of the schedule you might be thinking it is way too early for Vegas to be throwing around weekly betting lines, right?

Wrong.

According to Jeff Sherman, from the WestGate Sportsbook, WestGate has already released their current Week 1 odds for the entire slate of games.

Of course, in Week 1 I look directly for the spread and OVER/UNDER of the Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Cleveland Browns game in Cleveland. The Steelers currently stand as 7-point road favorites in the contest, with an OVER/UNDER set at 48-points.

What a difficult bet to make. Common sense tells you to take the Steelers, but no one really knows what to expect from the Browns next season. While 2017 was a season to forget, Cleveland has been pulling out all the stops this offseason. Whether it be signing free agents, or preparing to bring in a ridiculous draft haul, the Browns will be a completely different team next season.

Should the Steelers win? Absolutely, but will they cover on the road in Week 1? If you like this bet, you might want to throw some money down now because the line will change a number of times prior to the actual start of the 2018 season.
