Steelers top pick Terrell Edmunds describes getting the phone call...from the bathroom

Chalk this up to a story I haven’t heard from the NFL Draft before.

NFL: NFL Draft Tim Heitman-USA TODAY Sports

There have been some legendary reactions to being drafted in the NFL, even for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Last year there were remarkable reactions which ranged from JuJu Smith-Schuster running and jumping into the Pacific Ocean, to James Conner’s absolutely stunned face when he heard the Steelers take him in the 3rd round.

Many others have been documented, but I’m not sure I, or anyone, has heard a story like Terrell Edmunds’.

After being the Steelers’ first round pick at No. 28, Edmunds described the experience of receiving the phone call...from the bathroom.

Check out his description of how he got the call from Mike Tomlin and company:

Steelers fans will welcome Edmunds to the black-and-gold, and hope he can be the versatile tool Kevin Colbert and Mike Tomlin were describing in their post-draft press conference.

In the meantime, expect more news as the team still has 7 draft picks for the final two days of the 2018 NFL Draft. Stay tuned to BTSC for the best coverage on the internet!
