On this Memorial Day, Americans across the country will come together with family and friends and enjoy life. Whether that's gathering around a barbecue, or even at the local pool which just opened, it's a time to take a Monday off to realize just how good life can be.
What many, including myself, rarely do often enough is stop to think about what Memorial Day really means. A chance to reflect on those who gave their lives fighting for our country. As someone who never served in any branch of the military, it's difficult for me to wrap my head around the ultimate sacrifice made by so many we don’t know, nor ever will.
When I saw this video of Pittsburgh Steelers offensive tackle Alejandro Villanueva talking about what Memorial Day means to him, there was no doubt it should be shared. Watch as Villanueva, an Army Ranger, talks about how everyone should take the time to reflect a second on those who paid the ultimate sacrifice for the United States of America.
