Let’s be honest...when fans of the Pittsburgh Steelers talk about the team’s 2018 NFL Draft class, there is one player who certainly doesn’t garner as much attention as others — James Washington.

While everyone seems to be deep in the discussion on Terrell Edmunds, Mason Rudolph and even Marcus Allen, Washington, a second round pick, is preparing for rookie minicamp this Friday.

Regardless of who is grabbing the most attention, Washington is more than worth the time to get to know. After all, when the Steelers shipped Martavis Bryant to the Raiders on Day 1 of the NFL Draft, Washington’s status was elevated before he even was selected by Pittsburgh.

Nonetheless, it is time to check on what Washington does well, and what he might need to improve upon as he enters what could be known as the ‘Wide Receiver Factory’ for the NFL. Washington has a lot to prove, and if he can emulate JuJu Smith-Schuster’s production from a year ago this team will be well on their way on the offensive side of the ball.
