Watch Bud Dupree get pass rushing tips from Von Miller this offseason

Pittsburgh Steelers OLB Bud Dupree needs all the help he can get, and he was getting some tips from one of the best pass rushers in today’s game.

The Pittsburgh Steelers, and their fans, have been waiting patiently for their top pick in the 2015 NFL Draft to finally start playing up to his draft status. Bud Dupree has always been brimming with potential, but has yet to turn his freakish athleticism into anything which resembles dominance on the football field.

The past two offseasons Dupree has been attending Chuck Smith’s pass rushing clinics with other pass rushers around the NFL, and despite Smith suggesting Dupree could have a Defensive Player of the Year season in 2017 (he didn’t), Dupree is back at it hoping to truly get a grip on his craft before the 2018 season.

While there, it wasn’t just Smith who was doing the instructing, but Dupree was getting a one-on-one tutorial from one of the best pass rushers in today’s NFL — Denver Broncos Von Miller.

Watch as Miller walks Dupree through how he utilizes his shoulder, and his angles, to make his lethal spin move work on opposing offensive linemen.

Check out the video below:

The Steelers picked up Dupree’s 5th year option this offseason, and are patiently waiting for Dupree to finally develop into the pass rusher the team needs on the outside. They obviously still have confidence in Dupree, or else they would have picked up another pass rusher in the NFL Draft, or in free agency.

They did neither.

Hopefully these sessions, and this help from a player like Miller, can help Dupree learn some of the tricks of the trade which will help him go from a first round bust, to a big-time player for the Steelers.
