It’s 6:44 pm EST and I’m still thinking about this tweet Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown posted five or six hours ago:
Pee on me tell me it’s raining
— Antonio Brown (@AB84) June 4, 2018
What does this mean?! I’ve ascertained that this is a derivative of the “Don’t pee on my boots and tell me it’s raining” colloquialism (or possibly Don’t Pee on My Leg and Tell Me It’s Raining by Judge Judy)—which basically means hey, please don’t be all shady and deceptive and then pretend like you aren’t—but I’m struggling to determine the context. Is this about Le’Veon Bell?! Do we have beef?!
More probably this is just some kinda of perfunctory #branding effort, but I’m curious to hear your thoughts. Please leave them in the comments below.
