Moats follows a long list of former Steelers who have found a job with the Cardinals once their careers in Pittsburgh were over, and he may yet be joined by another after it was also reported that safety Mike MItchell was in Arizona at the same time as Moats.
Former Steelers' and Panthers' S Mike Mitchell is scheduled to visit with and take a physical for the Arizona Cardinals today, per source. Mitchell had his best statistical season for Panthers in 2013, when now Cardinals' HC Steve Wilks was his DB coach.

Although Moats saw a significantly reduced role in 2017, playing mostly on special teams, he was a reliable reserve player when called upon. Known for his infectious smile and warm nature off the field, Moats might ultimately be missed more for his impact in the locker room, than his production on gameday. In four season with the Steelers, Moats started a total of 25 games and recorded 11.5 sacks.
A winner of multiple awards for his efforts in the local community and the Steelers nominee for the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award in 2016, Moats always showed a generosity of spirit that few players have matched in their time in Pittsburgh. He will be missed by both fans and players alike.
