The Pittsburgh Steelers will rest a number of their veteran players against the Green Bay Packers on Thursday night, and fans will see a lot of unfamiliar numbers on the field for the Black and Gold once again, just as they did in Philadelphia.
For anyone struggling to keep up with all of the number changes we have seen among the returning players in the secondary, our updated roster list should help in identifying who’s who on gameday. Joe Haden, Sean Davis and Mike Hilton will all have a different look in 2018 after adopting new numbers this offseason.
Not every jersey number is exclusive to just one player and there a handful of names who will be carrying the same number on offense and defense. Running back James Conner and defensive back Jamar Summers will both wear number 30, while Parker Cothern and Larson Graham will be both wearing number 61 for example.

Before you rush out to buy the jersey of your favorite undrafted rookie free agent, you might want to wait a few more weeks until the 53-man roster has been decided to see if they keep that number, let alone make the team. The final round of cuts if sure to free up a few more jerseys and it would be a surprise if there were not a few more number changes before the regular season begins.
