Patrick Mahomes picked mimicked his performance to start the second half the same way he did the first half. The second year quarterback led the Chiefs down the field with ease and hit Travis Kelce for his fourth touchdown of the game to give Kansas City a 28-21 lead. The reception was Kelce’s second touchdown of the game.
Needing an answer, Roethlisberger and company marched down the field with ease, but instead of another Roethlisberger touchdown pass, it was James Conner hitting pay dirt on a 2nd-and-goal situation for his first touchdown of the game. Boswell made the extra point to tie the game 28-28 with 7:12 left in the third quarter.
Extra effort for his 3rd TD of the season.

Mahomes had looked unstoppable all game, and that continued with Kansas City moving through the Pittsburgh offense like a hot knife through butter. The latest Chiefs’ touchdown ended with Mahomes’ 5th touchdown pass, this time to Demarcus Robinson, to give the Chiefs a 35-28 lead with 3:15 remaining in the third quarter.
The Chiefs have the football and are driving to start the 4th quarter.
