The Pittsburgh Steelers finally managed a win on Sunday and, for once, the BTSC team had a good week picking games, well, sort of. While Jeff Hartman and myself continued leading you astray with our game selections against spread, both going 7-8 on the week, Jeff was an impressive 12-3 against the totals, while I managed a respectable 11-4. Between us, there was only one Over/Under in Week 3 we failed to call correctly.
Hoping to build on these results, Week 4 offers some interesting propositions featuring several home favorites and only three games separated by a spread of more than a touchdown. With half of the contests currently showing spreads of a field goal or less, there should be plenty of close games.
After not winning a game for over a year, Jeff somehow sees the Cleveland Browns winning back-to-back games for the first time in what must surely be decades on Sunday. Picking the Miami Dolphins to cover the spread at New England might seem insane on the face of it, but I have a sneaking feeling that the Patriots will actually lose to the surprising 3-0 Dolphins in Foxboro. However, that could well be wishing thinking on my part though, with the heart ruling the head on this one.
