The Pittsburgh Steelers offseason may have started much sooner than anyone had hoped for, but with at least two assistant coaches to replace and a number of prospective free agents to worry about, the Steelers have more than enough work to do in the comings months ahead of the new league year.
The path to the NFL draft begins with the East-West Shrine game in January and is quickly followed by the Senior Bowl a week later. The NFL Scouting Combine runs from February 26 to March 3 this year.
Decisions about re-signing free agents, issuing franchise tags and tendering restricted free agents will need to be made before 4.00 p.m ET on March 13 and the college pro day schedule will add hundreds of more events to the calendar in March and April when they are finally confirmed.
Until they are announced, these are all of the key dates the Steelers will be paying attention to this offseason, with the first Sunday of the 2019 regular season set for September 8.
