The Pittsburgh Steelers have seen better days, but unfortunately drama has been synonymous with the black-and-gold for several years now. Whenever something happens, fans and media alike want to point the finger at someone and place blame.
This is human nature; however, it isn’t always as easy as many think.
When talking about the latest fiasco geared around Antonio Brown’s strange decision making, it is time to ask the fan base who they actually pin blame on in this scenario.
Now, I realize some may be reading this and thinking, “Can people possibly blame someone other than Antonio Brown?!” To that I suggest you take a look at some of the comment sections of articles, check social media and listen to some of the national media talk about this specific topic.
Oh, there are plenty of people blaming anyone but No. 84 in this situation.
So, within the Steelers’ circus tent, who would get the blame for the current state of affairs? Would it be Mike Tomlin for allowing Brown to get away with these type of antics for so long in the past? Would it be Ben Roethlisberger for possibly igniting this behavior with actions and words not solely focused on pleasing No. 84? Could someone else, like JuJu Smith-Schuster, or the rest of the team, be at fault due to the naming of the team’s MVP prior to Week 17? Last, but certainly not least, you have to ask if Brown is solely to blame.
With that said, this article is to create a healthy, and level-headed, discussion regarding who is actually to blame for this situation, and why. Vote in the poll below, and be sure to explain your decision in the comment section below. These types of articles have done well in the past, and have remained civilized. Let’s hope this trend continues.
