The Pittsburgh Steelers have their share of injuries heading into their Week 6 game vs. the Los Angeles Chargers. While most are focusing on the quarterback position, there is another huge injury of note.
Cornerback Steven Nelson, who has been playing amazing football throughout the regular season, has been ruled our of the Sunday night game.
This per Burt Lauten, of the Steelers Public Relations department:
#Steelers CB Steven Nelson is not making the trip to Los Angeles and has been downgraded to OUT for Sunday night’s game vs. the Chargers.

Nelson missing the game is likely a decision made on the fact the Steelers have a bye week after their game Sunday, and the hope is Nelson should be healed and ready for the second half of the season.
In his place should be a cause for concern. Artie Burns will make his first start of 2019, and while he played well during the preseason, he has a long way to go before he has fans forgetting about his dreadful 2018 which saw him eventually replaced by Coty Sensabaugh.
Stay tuned to BTSC for the latest news and notes surrounding the Steelers as they prepare for their prime time matchup with the Chargers.
