After Week 6 of the NFL season, Steelers’ fans find themselves twiddling thier thumbs this weekend when it comes to NFL games as the team heads into their much-needed bye week. Hoping the Steelers can emerge fairly healthy for their Week 8 matchup on Monday Night Football against the Miami Dolphins, the Steelers are not in a position to make the same move they did in 2018 as they went from third place to first place in the AFC North without even playing a game.
Looking around the league, only two teams remain unbeaten on the season. Both the San Francisco 49ers and the New England Patriots go on the road in Week 7 but are still heavily favored against two teams each coming off their lone win on the season. The only winless teams in the NFL are the Miami Dolphins and Cincinnati Bengals who, if nothing else, can look forward to their matchup in Week 16 in southern Florida.
For the 2019 NFL season, both Jeff Hartman and myself will be picking every game (except Thursdays) against the spread and the over/under point totals. Please remember we are not experts on betting or any kind of sports gamblers. We are just a couple of Steelers’ fans saying who we think will come through each week.
Last week, Jeff and I both finished up fairly average as I was 6-7 against the spread and 5-7-1 in the over/under. Jeff had an identical record in the over/under but won the picks against the spread at 7-6. On the season, Jeff is still the only one who has a winning record of any kind, which happens to be in the over/under category while I am hovering right around .500 for both.
So here are the picks for the 13 games this Sunday and Monday for Week 7 of the NFL season. Please feel free to list your choices in the comment section below and play along!
