2020 NFL Draft Order: Entering Week 7 the Steelers are giving the Dolphins another Top 10 pick

A look at the current 2020 NFL Draft order, and what the Steelers are giving to the Dolphins in their part of the Minkah Fitzpatrick trade.

NFL: Cincinnati Bengals at Pittsburgh Steelers Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY Sports

The Pittsburgh Steelers are hoping to right the ship on their 2019 season and make something out of nothing. When they started the season 0-3, things were bad. After dropping to 1-4 on the year it was a big road win over the Los Angeles Chargers which propelled them to 2-4 heading into their Week 7 bye.

It seems like the perfect time to take a look at the 2020 NFL Draft order and see just what the Steelers will be giving the Miami Dolphins in their part of the trade for Minkah Fitzpatrick.

The debate has been ongoing between Steelers faithful regarding whether Fitzpatrick was worth a top pick, but the overall consensus has been the hope the Steelers will rebound and not give up a high draft pick — one which could have been nice to have if the season torpedoes into Mike Tomlin’s first losing season.

As of right now, the Steelers will be shipping a Top 10 pick to the Dolphins.

Check out the Top 10 of the 2020 NFL Draft entering the full slate of games in Week 7:

1. Cincinnati Bengals - 0-6
2. Miami Dolphins - 0-5
3. Washington Redskins - 1-5
4. Atlanta Falcons - 1-5
5. New York Jets - 1-4
6. Denver Broncos - 2-5
7. Cleveland Browns - 2-4
8. Jacksonville Jaguars - 2-4
9. Miami Dolphins (via Pittsburgh Steelers) - 2-4
10. New York Giants 2-4

There are still 10 games remaining for the Steelers, and a lot can happen in the meantime. With the defense improving the Steelers could see their offense slowly come around and become capable of winning games. Or the alternative could happen and the Steelers could see their season collapse underneath them and fans will be left what could be if they still had their top pick in next year’s draft.

Let’s hope the Steelers turn things around and send the Dolphins nothing more than a late round draft pick...No. 32 sounds pretty good.
