The first quarter of the NFL season has come to a close. The number of undefeated teams is now down to three as the Rams, Cowboys, Lions, and Bills all fell in Week 4. As for the winless teams, only the Steelers were able to notch a victory, so six teams are still looking for their first win.
Week 5 looks as if it will force many teams either above or below .500 as 13 teams with a 2-2 record will be in action. Additionally, either the Arizona Cardinals or Cincinnati Bengals should finally get their first win as the Bengals are matched up against a winless team for the second straight week. As for the three undefeated teams, two are facing one of the many 2-2 teams while the New England Patriots travel to the winless Washington Redskins.
For the 2019 NFL season, both Jeff Hartman and myself will be picking every game (except Thursdays) against the spread and the over/under point totals. Please remember we are not experts on betting or any kind of sports gamblers. We are just a couple of Steelers’ fans saying who we think will come through each week.
Last week, I bounced back in a big way picking games against the spread going 11-3 while Jeff got left in the dust at 5-9 as every game in which we picked differently went in my favor. When it came to picking the over/under, I came out slightly ahead for the first time at 7-7 while Jeff was 6-8. On the season, Jeff is the only one who has a winning record of any kind, which happens to be in the over/under category.
So here are the picks for the 14 games this Sunday and Monday for Week 5 of the NFL season. Please feel free to list your choices in the comment section below and play along!
