Inactives for #Steelers: WR Moncrief, FB Nix, OLB Chickillo, G Fred Johnson, OT Okorafor, TE Gentry, DE Buggs
— Bob Labriola (@BobLabriola) October 6, 2019
Unable to practice until Friday, both Vance McDonald and JuJu Smith-Schuster were both the definition of questionable coming into the game. Acting as two of quarterback Mason Rudolph‘s favorite targets, it is a benefit to have both players available against the Ravens defense ranked 30th in the NFL against the pass. Vince Williams was a full participant in practice all week, so his availability to help stop the Baltimore’s top-ranked rushing offense will be a welcomed addition.
Roosevelt Nix and Anthony Chickillo were two inactives already announced on Friday. Nix will be missing his fourth consecutive game with a knee injury suffered in Week 1 while Chickillo will miss his third straight game.
Joining these players on the inactive list are several of the usual suspects. Not getting a helmet for Week 5 are rookies DL Isaiah Buggs, G Fred Johnson, and TE Zach Gentry. Second-year OT Chukwuma Okorafor is once again is on the inactive list. WR Donte Moncrief is inactive against the Ravens after getting one game back following a healthy scratch in Week 3. Moncrief was only on the field for three plays in Week 4 and was not targeted.
As for the Ravens, their inactives can be seen below courtesy of Steelers.com. DT Brandon Williams and C Matt Skura are both active.
