After Week 9 of the NFL season, the Pittsburgh Steelers have pulled them self back to .500 by stacking three straight wins. In Week 10 they look to conclude their three-game home stretch as they take on the favored Los Angeles Rams. With a plethora of running backs banged up for the Steelers, continuing the win may be a tall task when it comes to the offense finding the end zone. But with a defense which is getting stronger and stronger each week, don’t count the Steelers out just yet.
Looking around the league, only one team remains unbeaten in 2019. The New England Patriots fell in Baltimore in Week 9, leaving only the San Francisco 49ers sporting zero losses. The 49ers have a test on Monday Night Football as they host the Seattle Seahawks. The only winless teams left in the NFL is the Cincinnati Bengals. as the Dolphins took down the Jets in Miami last week. Coming off the bye, the Bengals are double-digit underdogs at home to the Baltimore Ravens.
For the 2019 NFL season, both Jeff Hartman and myself will be picking every game (except Thursdays) against the spread and the over/under point totals. Please remember we are not experts on betting or any kind of sports gamblers. We are just a couple of Steelers’ fans saying who we think will come through each week.
Last week, I finished right around .500 in both categories as I was 6-7 both against the spread and in the over/under. Jeff was able to catch back up going against the spread with a record of 9-4, but struggled in the over/under at 5-8. At what could be considered the midway point of the season, Jeff and I have identical records across the board as we are both 61-64-1 against the spread and 61-63-2 in the over/under.
So here are the picks for the 12 games this Sunday and Monday for Week 9 of the NFL season. Please feel free to list your choices in the comment section below and play along!
