Predicting the winner of Steelers vs. Colts in Week 10 at Heinz Field.

NFL: Indianapolis Colts at Pittsburgh Steelers Philip G. Pavely-USA TODAY Sports

The Pittsburgh Steelers are a tough nut to crack in 2019. Since the injury to Ben Roethlisberger, nothing has been consistent about the Steelers’ offense. This makes predicting games extremely challenging for many reasons.

With the Los Angeles Rams high-powered offense coming to town, this game could turn into one of the worst types of games for the home team — a shootout.

The good news for the Steelers is their defense seems to be turning into an upper echelon unit potentially capable of withstand the barrage of Jared Goff and Todd Gurley and keeping the game close.

But can Mason Rudolph do enough to lead to the Steelers’ fourth straight win? They certainly can’t bank on a running game leading the way with James Conner, Roosevelt Nix and Trey Edmunds all banged up.

Before getting to my prediction, this week I was fortunate enough to ask Turf Show Time’s editor Joe McAtee some questions, and of course I asked him what his prediction for the game was, and you can check out his response below:

I’ll go with the Rams winning, but I think it’s going to be close and sloppy when we have the ball. Not sure we can run the ball well with our line and you guys should be able to harass things in the passing game. I’ll go 29-17 with K Greg Zuerlein on a handful of field goals that carries the day along with the Rams’ defense.

Joe took the Rams, which isn’t a surprise, but what about the question I posed prior to showing Joe’s prediction? Can Rudolph make enough plays to win the game? Or should I rephrase the question and wonder if Randy Fichtner will actually call plays which will be conducive to Rudolph being able to deliver in a big situation?

Many will say no to both of these questions, but I have a gut feeling this is the game Rudolph and company show up, and show out. In a close game, the Steelers offense is the unit which turns head, and reaches the 30 point mark for the first time this season.

My Prediction:

Steelers - 30
Rams - 24
