The Pittsburgh Steelers held their final practice of the week on Thursday. According to the Steelers PR Department, two players have been ruled out for their Week 12 matchup with the Cincinnati Bengals.
James Conner reaggravated his shoulder injury in last week’s game and did not participate in practice all week. Conner has been ruled out for Sunday.
Three players for the Steelers have been in the NFL concussion protocol this as a result of last Thursday’s game against the Cleveland Browns. Wide receivers JuJu Smith-Schuster and Diontae Johnson as well as linebacker Olasunkanmi Adeniyi all left the game with head injuries and have been working their way back this week. Both Johnson and Adeniyi have no designation so the Steelers expect them both to be cleared. As for Smith-Schuster, he has been ruled out. It is unclear at this time if it is due to his concussion, his knee injury, or a combination of both
Artie Burns also exited last Thursday’s game due to injury with a knee, but was able to practice in a limited fashion on Wednesday and Thursday. On Friday, Burns must have suffered some sort of setback as he was unable to practice and is listed as doubtful for Sunday.
Benny Snell Jr. also re-joined practice as a full participant all week and is ready to go on Sunday. Bud Dupree was limited on Wednesday with a triceps injury has practiced fully since and carries no injury designation.
