Pittsburgh Steelers fans took a punch in the gut in Week 11 when they lost in decisive fashion to the Cleveland Browns in Week 11. The fan confidence hadn’t been this low in weeks, but the perfect elixir awaited the team in Week 12.
That elixir? The Cincinnati Bengals.
It might not have been pretty, but it was a must-needed win to propel the team’s record to 6-5 on the season. Not only did it improve the team’s record, but it also gave a nice little bump to the fans’ confidence in the team heading into Week 13.
The latest FanPulse results certainly paint a pretty accurate photo of how fans truly feel:

When it comes to the data, the Steelers’ fan confidence jumped to an 83% approval rating after the team’s Week 10 win over the Los Angeles Rams. The 83% approval was the highest the fan base has recorded since after Week 1 in the preseason, but plummeted to 38% after the loss to the Browns. Following the Week 12 win, fan confidence rose to a 46% approval rating.
The one thing I can’t get out of my head is what would happen if/when the Steelers beat the Browns in Week 13 at Heinz Field. It won’t be easy, but Devlin Hodges will be taking the field determined not just to win, but to keep his job as the Steelers’ starting quarterback moving forward.
There won’t be Myles Garrett and Maurkice Pouncey in this game, but you better believe there will be fireworks after the last time these two AFC North rivals met on Thursday Night Football just two weeks ago.
Let’s hope the Steelers find a way to advance to 7-5 as they they return home after back-to-back road games to host Cleveland this Sunday at 1:00 p.m. ET.
