NFL Odds and Predictions: Picking all the Week 9 games against the spread

BTSC’s Jeff Hartman and Dave Schofield pick all remaining NFL games both against the spread and over/under point totals

After Week 8 of the NFL season, it’s about time the Steelers get to play a 1 PM game for only the third time this season. While prime time can be nice for a change, having four night games out of the first seven can be a bit much. It should be nice for the players to enjoy an early home game where they can get a full day’s rest before heading into the next week’s preparation. But in all honesty, I’m just being selfish and don’t want to have to stay up late after the game for another week.

Looking around the league, there are still only two teams who remain unbeaten on the season. Both the San Francisco 49ers and the New England Patriots hit the road for Week 9 as the 49ers have already notched their eighth win on Thursday night over the Arizona Cardinals. As for the Patriots, they travel to Baltimore to take on the Ravens in their closest point spread of the season. The only winless teams in the NFL are the Miami Dolphins and Cincinnati Bengals. The Dolphins have a chance to get in the win column hosting the 1-6 Jets while the Bengals finally can’t lose this week as they are on bye.

For the 2019 NFL season, both Jeff Hartman and myself will be picking every game (except Thursdays) against the spread and the over/under point totals. Please remember we are not experts on betting or any kind of sports gamblers. We are just a couple of Steelers’ fans saying who we think will come through each week.

Last week, I finished right around .500 in both categories as I was 7-6-1 against the spread and 6-8 in the over/under. Jeff was sightly better against the spread at 8-5-1 but struggled in the over/under at 4-10. On the season, Jeff still has the best record of all which happens to be in the over/under category at 56-55-2. I’m only slightly behind with 55 wins in both categories.

So here are the picks for the 13 games this Sunday and Monday for Week 9 of the NFL season. Please feel free to list your choices in the comment section below and play along!
