The Pittsburgh Steelers have released their inactives against the Indianapolis Colts. With two players ruled out before the game and two others in question, the list is made up of four healthy scratches and three players due to injury.
Inactives for the #Steelers in the game vs. the Colts: QB Lynch, RB Snell, RB Conner, CB Layne, G Foster, TE Gentry, DE Walton

Benny Snell Jr. was ruled out on Friday after having knee surgery earlier in the week. As to when Snell will be able to return is still unknown. James Conner is dealing with a sprained AC joint in his shoulder sustained late in the game Monday night against the Dolphins. While the Steelers were hopeful Conner could return this week, the focus will now turn to Week 10 goal to participate even though reports say his availability then is still in question.
Another player who was ruled out on Friday was guard Ramon Foster as he is still in the NFL’s concussion protocol. The final player who was on the status report for the Steelers was Roosevelt Nix who was limited on Friday with his knee. Fortunately, Nix is active against the Colts.
As for the rest of the inactive list, third-string quarterback Paxton Lynch is inactive with both Mason Rudolph and Devlin Hodges healthy. The other players filling up inactive list are rookies CB Justin Layne and TE Zach Gentry. It was unclear last week whether the Steelers would have a Isaiah Buggs on the depth chart ahead of the newly signed L.T. Walton or if Walton’s previous four years with the Steelers would earn him a helmet for Monday’s game. For the second straight week, the Steelers have gone with Buggs as Walton is an active.
As for the Colts, their inactives can be seen below. Wide receiver T.Y. Hilton was ruled out on Friday. Cornerback Pierre Desir is also inactive.
Colts inactives today include OL Le'Raven Clark, DT Carl Davis, CB Pierre Desir, WR T.Y. Hilton, DL Tyquan Lewis, RB Jonathan Williams, CB Quincy Wilson #Steelers #dkps
