After Week 12 of the NFL season, the Pittsburgh Steelers are back in the AFC wildcard seat as they hold the tiebreaker over the group of four teams all sitting at 6-5. Just behind this large cluster looms the Cleveland Browns at 5-6 who are hoping to keep pace and slowly pick off as many of these teams as they can. With their previous suspension-filled matchup occurring only 17 days prior, the Steelers contest with the Browns means so much more than their games have in many years.
Looking around the league, the leader in each conference is a team with only one loss. The 9-1 New England Patriots hope to stay atop the AFC as they head to to Houston to take on the Texans on Sunday Night Football. As for the NFC, the 9-1 San Francisco 49ers travel to Baltimore to take on the scorching-hot Ravens. The only winless teams left in the NFL is the Cincinnati Bengals as they host the New York Jets.
For the 2019 NFL season, both Jeff Hartman and myself will be picking every game (except Thursdays) against the spread and the over/under point totals. Please remember we are not experts on betting or any kind of sports gamblers. We are just a couple of Steelers’ fans saying who we think will come through each week.
Last week, Jeff and I put up strong weeks as we both finished the same picking against the spread at 9-4. As for the over/under, I finished slightly ahead of Jeff at 8-5 while he was 7-6. Jeff still has the overall lead in both categories as he is above .500 in each while I finally hit the mark picking against the spread.
So here are the picks for the 13 games this Sunday and Monday for Week 13 of the NFL season. Please feel free to list your choices in the comment section below and play along!
