The Pittsburgh Steelers final regular-season game at Heinz Field in 2019 will now be in primetime. The NFL has announced the Steelers will play the Buffalo Bills in Week 15 on Sunday Night Football.

The Bills currently sit in the top wild-card spot in the AFC with a record of 9-3. The Steelers are the next spot at 7-5 with the identical record as the Tennessee Titans.

Before they face off on December 15, the Steelers will first travel to Arizona for a 4:25 PM kickoff against the Cardinals next Sunday. The Bills will be hosting the red-hot Baltimore Ravens at 1 PM in Week 14. If the Bills stumble against Baltimore and the Steelers can pull out a win in the desert, the Week 15 matchup would be for the top wild-card spot. While many things have to fall in place for this scenario to play out, it will still see two teams facing off who are in the playoff hunt.

The game originally scheduled for Sunday Night Football in Week 15 was the Minnesota Vikings visiting the Los Angeles Chargers. With the Chargers falling to 4–8 this week, the NFL was looking for a better primetime matchup with two winning teams.
