When Pittsburgh Steelers fans look back at the Week 14 win over the Arizona Cardinals, they likely think of several key plays which turned the tide.
- Diontae Johnson’s 85 yard punt return touchdown.
- Johnson’s nifty touchdown grab.
- T.J. Watt’s red-zone interception.
- Joe Haden’s pair of interceptions, one icing the game.
And then there were the plays most fans would like to forget:
- Benny Snell Jr.’s fumble, killing all the momentum the Steelers built during the 10-0 start in the first quarter.
- The botched punt which resulted in a turnover on downs which could have been disastrous for the Steelers.
Nonetheless, the Steelers endured en route to a 23-16 win over an inferior opponent, and when NFL Network’s analyst Brian Baldinger took to the film he wanted to look at one player: Devlin Hodges.
In part of his “Baldy’s Breakdowns” on his verified Twitter account Baldinger breaks down just how Hodges isn’t just managing games, but making plays when called upon. Or, as Baldinger puts it, “don’t EFF it up.”
Take a look at the breakdown below:
.@steelers @DevlinHodges10 keeps the #steelers playoff hopes alive with a bunch of mostly short, accurate throws; and most in#mportantly as requested by his HC; “don’t EFF it up.” What an opportunity and it has knocked and he is delivering. #Duck #DuckCalls #BaldysBreakdowns pic.twitter.com/wwuszZL5Hn

The Steelers will have a tall task ahead of them in Week 15 when the Buffalo Bills come to town. The Bills’ defense is built very much like the Steelers’ current defense, and this could pose problems for an already anemic Pittsburgh offense.
Are the Steelers willing to put the ball in the air to win? Or will they continue to try and establish a run, even it means banging their heads against the wall repeatedly throughout the process? These questions, which wont’ be answered until Sunday Night Football at Heinz Field, will likely determined the winner of the game, and who then has the inside track at the No. 5 seed in the AFC Playoff Picture.
Yeah, this game is going to be huge on Sunday night...
Stay tuned to BTSC for the latest news and notes surrounding the black-and-gold as they prepare for the Bills to invade Heinz Field.
