The Pittsburgh Steelers have released their inactives for their game against the Buffalo Bills at Heinz Field on Sunday Night Football. With two players ruled out on Friday, the list is made up of five healthy scratches and two players out due to injury.
Inactives for the #Steelers tonight vs. the Bills: QB Lynch, WR Smith-Schuster, CB Burns, OLB Skipper, T Okorafor, TE McDonald, DE Buggs— Bob Labriola (@BobLabriola) December 15, 2019
Wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster had previously been ruled out on Friday as he is experienced a setback on Thursday as he was attempting to may his way back for the Bills game. Described by Smith-Schuster as a situation of pushing his knee too far, JuJu will see if he can recover in time to give it a try next week. The other Steelers’ player ruled out on Friday was Tight end Vance McDonald who is still in the NFL’s concussion protocol. It will be the second game in 2019 McDonald has missed due to injury. In his place, Zach Gentry is active for the first time since Week 6.
The other player who carried an injury stats for Week 15 was James Conner who was listed as questionable after practicing all week. I report late Saturday night from ESPN’s Adam Schefter stated Conner would play Sunday night against the Bills. With Conner’s return to the lineup, rookie DT Isaiah Buggs ended up not getting a helmet after being active every week since the bye.

As for the rest of the inactive list, it looks extremely familiar when compared to the last three weeks. Third-string quarterback Paxton Lynch is inactive yet again. The other players filling up the inactive list are OT Chukwuma Okorafor, LB Tuzar Skipper, and CB Artie Burns. Burns is a healthy scratch for the second straight week after returning from a knee injury.
