NFL Odds and Predictions: Picking the remaining Week 16 games against the spread

With the playoff picture becoming a little bit more clear on Saturday when it comes to other AFC teams, the Steelers are still in their best-case scenario of winning their own games without any help from other teams. While the Week 17 matchup against the Baltimore Ravens looms large, it will mean nothing if the Steelers look past Week 16 and their trip to East Rutherford as they take on the New York Jets.

For the 2019 NFL season, both Jeff Hartman and myself will be picking every game (except Thursdays) against the spread and the over/under point totals. Please remember we are not experts on betting or any kind of sports gamblers. We are just a couple of Steelers’ fans saying who we think will come through each week.

The results from Saturday’s picks will be combined with all of Week 16, therefore we’ll look at the recap from Week 15 again. Last week, Jeff really took it to me, closing the gap in the against the spread category and opening up a big lead in the over/under. Jeff had the advantage in picking games against the spread at 9-6 while I came in at only 7-8. Jeff took a huge advantage in the over/under at 9-9 while I was an embarrassing 5-10. On the season, we tied against the spread while Jeff is up eight games in the over/under category.
