After Week 13 of the NFL season, the Pittsburgh Steelers are still in the AFC wildcard seat as they hold the tiebreaker over the Tennessee Titans who are both sitting at 7-5. With four teams being in the tie the previous week, several games went the Steelers way. Most importantly, the Steelers need to take care of their own business moving forward.
As for the other standings around the league, there are now five teams grouped at 10-2 at the top of each conference with three teams in the NFC and two in the AFC. Week 14 matches two of these teams against each other in the New Orleans Saints hosting the San Francisco 49ers. Two other games feature teams currently in the playoffs with the Baltimore Ravens at the Buffalo Bills and the Kansas City Chiefs at the New England Patriots. Additionally, with their win over the Jets last week, the Cincinnati Bengals got their first win of the season so there are no winless teams remaining in the NFL.
For the 2019 NFL season, both Jeff Hartman and myself will be picking every game (except Thursdays) against the spread and the over/under point totals. Please remember we are not experts on betting or any kind of sports gamblers. We are just a couple of Steelers’ fans saying who we think will come through each week.
Last week, I made a strong push against Jeff as I took the lead in the picks against the spread and narrowed the gap in the over/under category. I managed to go 8-5 against the spread while Jeff struggled at 3-10. As for the over/under, I crushed at 11-2 while Jeff was 8-5. Jeff still holds the overall lead in the over/under as we are now both above .500 in each category.
So here are the picks for the 15 games this Sunday and Monday for Week 14 of the NFL season. Please feel free to list your choices in the comment section below and play along!
