The Pittsburgh Steelers have released their inactives for their game against the Cardinals in Arizona. With two players ruled out with nobody else on the status report, the list is made up of five healthy scratches and two players out due to injury.
Inactives for #Steelers today in Arizona: QB Lynch, WR Smith-Schuster, CB Burns, RB Conner, OLB Skipper, T Okorafor, TE Gentry
— Bob Labriola (@BobLabriola) December 8, 2019
Wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster had previously been ruled out on Friday as he is recovering from a knee injury sustained against the Browns in Week 11. James Conner reaggravated his shoulder injury in Week 11 but was able to practice in a limited fashion for the past week and a half. Also listed as out, Conner will get another week to rest his shoulder as he is inactive.
After missing the last two games due to a knee injury, Artie Burns was ready to return for the Steelers. Instead, Justin Layne earns the spot as a key special team contributor.
As for the rest of the inactive list, it looks extremely familiar when compared to the last three weeks. Third-string quarterback Paxton Lynch is inactive yet again. The other players filling up the inactive list are TE Zach Gentry, OT Chukwuma Okorafor, and LB Tuzar Skipper.
