The Pittsburgh Steelers officially announced their 2019 preseason schedule on Tuesday, a slate of four games that will begin with two home matchups and end in customary fashion with a game against their annual opponent.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will be the Steelers opening contest of the preseason on August 9, with Week 2 bringing the Kansas City Chiefs to the Steel City on August 17. That will be followed by a trip to face the Tennessee Titans on August 25 and finally a road game against the Carolina Panthers on August 29 in Week 4.

Pittsburgh will close their preseason with a game against the Panthers for the 17th consecutive year in a row, one of three games that will be broadcast by local television station KDKA-TV. The Steelers game against the Titans will be a national televised game on NBC’s Sunday Night Football, broadcast locally by WPXI-TV.
While the team has already announced the dates of their offseason schedule for minicamps and OTAs in 2019, they have yet to confirm when training camp will begin. However, given the date of their first preseason game, it should be expected that the players will report to Saint Vincent College around July 25, assuming they follow the same pattern as last year.
