With the 2019 NFL Draft now in the books, the Pittsburgh Steelers will quickly switch their attention to the hundreds of eligible prospects who went undrafted this year. Long before the seventh-rounded ended, the Steelers will have reached out to players they were interested in who were expected to be available and it should not take long for the first few signings to be made.
Undrafted players are allowed to sign with whoever they chose, with the more popular names likely to be given a signing bonus to encourage them to pick one team over another. After selecting nine players in the draft over the past few days, Pittsburgh currently has 84 names on the roster. However, with Christian Scotland-Williamson set to receive an exemption this year as part of the International Pathway Program once again, the Steelers still have room to add as many as seven undrafted free agents if they want, more if they release some existing players.
It is worth noting than none of these signing are official until confirmed by the team, with players sometimes changing their mind about a destination at the last minute when another team offers a higher signing bonus. Some prospect will also have been invited for a tryout rather than receiving a contract, an essential difference some media reports will initially overlook.
As rumors begin to emerge of players Pittsburgh is targeting, we will add them in this post, as well as any confirmed signings from the players own social media accounts.

#Longhorns DL Chris Nelson will go as a UDFA to the #Steelers per source. PIT had him as a priority first-wave signing and the fit is good given the depth chart. #HookEm
