Ryan Switzer doesn’t hold his tongue when sticking up for the Steelers and Ben Roethlisberger

As former members of the Pittsburgh Steelers do their best to tarnish their former franchise, and Ben Roethlisberger, Ryan Switzer did some media rounds to give his side of things.

We have all seen the videos, heard the sound clips and read the quotes from former teammates of Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger.

Lousy teammate.

Horrible leader.

Last one in, first one out.

I could go on, but every black-and-gold fan around the globe knows exactly what I’m referring to. While it took a while, several players have come to Roethlisberger’s side to show some support during this trying time.

It started with James Harrison, then trickled down to players like JuJu Smith-Schuster, James Conner and Ryan Shazier.

You can now add wide receiver Ryan Switzer to the list of those players who are backing the franchise quarterback. But before you just brush this off as a teammate trying to keep the peace, Switzer’s situation is certainly unique. After being drafted by the Dallas Cowboys, and playing with quarterback Dak Prescott, he was traded to the Oakland Raiders, with Derek Carr, after his rookie season. His time was brief in Oakland before being traded to the Steelers.

In other words, Switzer has seen what it is like on other teams, played with several big-name quarterbacks and knows a thing or two about locker room dynamics. Recently Switzer did the rounds at Fox Sports, and FS1, to talk about, you guessed it, Ben Roethlisberger and Mike Tomlin.

Take a listen to what he has to say, and his honest answers to provide some context to what has been said, and what is the current day truth within the Steelers organization and in the locker room.
