Before taking the field the second day of training camp, first round draft pick Devin Bush sat down with the NFL Network‘s Aditi Kinkhabwala for a brief interview.
“In just so excited to be out here with the team and my teammates and my coaches and to get everything started.”
Bush was asked about the importance of making a big pass breakup against James Conner his first practice.
“Just to get into a rhythm. You known, just get back to making plays and having fun and learning as I go.”
When asked about his comfort level with the Steelers playbook now versus May, Bush is expanded his answer to include both his teammates and coaches.
“A lot more. Just because I’m comfortable with the guys I’m playing with, the playbook, and just the flow of the practice. Coach Tomlin creates an environment where everyone can be themselves and come out and complete.”
Bush was asked to respond to the NFL Network’s Kurt Warner who stated Bush could be the big playmaker the Steelers’ defense has been missing.
“I feel the same exact way. This is what training camp is for. To get the repetition down and be the guy they’re looking for.”
When asked about three goals that he had for the month, Bush’s answers were short and direct.
“Have fun, get better, and win.”
