Although days off are not uncommon for the quarterback-center duo who are entering their 10th season together, it is most likely not a coincidence they are sitting out the first day the team is in pads. As Coach Tomlin has stated in the past, sometimes less-experienced players are overzealous the first time they strap on full gear. Taking the precaution with the teams franchise quarterback is not an unexpected move on the third day of practice, much like last season.
