The Steelers announced on Wednesday they were awarded a waiver claim for wide receiver Brandon Reilly.

An undrafted free agent out of Nebraska in 2017, Reilly was signed by the Buffalo Bills. Spending most of the season on the practice squad, Reilly was activated to the 53-man roster the final four weeks of the 2017 season although he never saw the field. After spending the 2018 offseason with the Bills, Reilly was released and signed to the Dallas Cowboys practice squad in December. Spending the offseason with the Detroit Lions, Reilly was released Tuesday in order to sign DT Frederick Jones.

To make room on the roster, the Steeler waived CB Alexander Myres. It was reported earlier on Wednesday that Myres had a non-football illness which was going to keep him out of action for an extended period of time.
